There are many ways to free Shalit however the top brass are all worried about keeping their jobs than doing their jobs. If the IDF cannot just free Shalit , why don't they "kidnap" the top 10 Hamas people like , Aby Zahar, Ismail Haniyeh, Abu Marzouk and another few Abu's - What the IDF can't ? Legally , morally , or just worried about keeping their jobs ? maybe we give the defense ministry to Liberman - seems that Barak is talk only. Even the peaceful dove Obama- even though he is a brother Muslim killed Obama - taking some risk on his part. Once it was the daring Israelis who launched Entebbe and other daring attempts. Today- they hide behind "fortified walls". !!!! We need a change of leadership.
