There is no 'myth busting' here, Idan. Every Israeli with even basic education knows well that the uninhabited Arab villages were razed to the ground in the earlyy 50s because Fedayeen started crossing the ceasefire lines and attacking civilian targets in Israel at will, with a view to drive out Jews and recapture those abandoned 'archeological gems.' Tell me, were Buddhists, who had been wiped out of Afghanistan centuries ago, posing a threat to the Taliban? "I grant you that they would have done the same to us had they won the war" Wrong again, Idan, wrong again. If the Arabs had won the war, the invading Arab forces would have done to you exactly what they did with the Jews in Gush Etzion and other Jewish settlements they captured. I'm not going to get into a graphic description here
