The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
Ibrahim, Thank you for your amusing post. Now do you understand how cause and effect works? For example, if I drop a coin, the coin will fall. Now, let's take your Fiction and Fact example. What will happen these days(as opposed to ten years ago) if the Palestinians quit violence, recognize Israel, stop the terror and demand a state using non-violence means? Can we agree that it's reasonable that Israel will have no excuse not to provide one to them. Can we agree that the EU will start giving the PA monetary aid as well as diplomatic help? Can we agree that the US will be forced to do the same by the Arab world as they'll have no excuses. The point is this, Israel will be "forced" to make peace if the Palestinians quite violence, recognize Israel and stop the terror. Otherwise, Israel'll face sanctions. And it's just that simple. If you get rid of all excuses Israel has for not supporting a state, Israel will be forced to create a state. Not so difficult.
