Vigilantism is common during times of civic strife and communes do spring up. Show me one revolution in history where this sort of thing did not happen. And by the way, to call it a Muslim characteristic earns you a place in the Guinness World Records for idiocy. Take a valium. Neighborhoods fold inwards and know how to protect themselves. Mubarak will be joining his family in a day or two and Egypt will mend its social fabric on the day after. I am not predicting an exemplary government any time too soon, but the road to reform will surely open to them in a way that it was never open under Sadat and Mubarak, and they will get there. No apocalypse yet. The Hour has not arisen yet.
