But I agree that Israel's leadership had acted differently during this conflict than Israeli leadership had acted in the past during similar conflcts. The question is why.? Not even Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were immune from the conflict. Israeli leadership were scrambling to stop the onslaught on its population. The political cost for Netanyahu is huge, He always speak strong about security , and he had failed miserably , months before an election. Hamas not only broke the siege , but broke the political isolation and was able to withstand an Israeli onslaught. Clearly the winner in this bout is hamas and the looser is the Israeli ruling coalition.
