I understand why so many posts come from American Jews who object to the ZOA claim that it speaks for them. Every American Jew I know pretty much feels the same way: offended by the ZOA claim. In truth, it is not just American Jews, but a good many (maybe a majority) of Israeli Jews who have very enlightened views about what is going on there and are appalled at the growing settlements, the crazy Haridi claims about Jewish history and the ever sinister policies of the current right wing government. No one doubts the Palestinians have made bad choices in the past; but please, let's not doubt the reality of their suffering as a direct result of Israeli policies. Forget the past; think of the suffering of the current generation Israelis and Palestinians) and how to resolve it. Posturing about perceived insults is just childish and we adults know it!
