Israel's Foreign Ministry ordered to 'reassess' EU involvement with Palestinians after decision to label West Bank goods; 'decision is almost completely devoid of any real significance,' official says.23:15 29.11.15 | 10 comments
A peace agreement could be discussed and possibly agreed on, but the issues are multifold. The West bank Palestinians want concessions up front. That is no basis for discussions. Gaza/Hamas will not likely be part of the agreement so a two state agreement is not possible in any case unless Gaza is part of the agreement. There will always be some jewish settlements in the West Bank so unless the West Bank leadership is willing to offer up settlements in return for concessions it wants nothing will happen. The West Bank is unable to support itself and won't be able to do so for the foreseeable future. Who will support them? For sure Israel won't and the US won't do it either. Other Arabs states must come to the table. Will they?
