Why not if they can grow their own food and tend their own sheep. Not a bad start coming from some war torn place. Let them show they can contribute to Israeli society and those that understand torah let them stay. 8,000 over the first three years. That's not many people. You must consider these will become families if not all ready. I know Israel wants them, but not if they bring in their gods. Teach them and some might fight in the army some might become doctors or engineers. You cant ever forget we were strangers in and when we left Egypt. Their are may circumstances to consider. If you separate men from women, what will you do for those who are already a family? You have people in Israel that don't want to do anything for Israel and that feel superior to everyone else. Besides the land of Israel is destined to receive an influx of refugees. As I have seen you must clear away from shedding the blood of the Innocent. When they start running to you be sure you don't harm any of them playing with weapons technology. They are unarmed. Of course you fear the stranger at first, because you don't know him and he does not know you.
