what ayalon did NOT say is that the debate was not over a "two-state solution". here's what happened: at the closing of the meeting, a summary was drawn up as per custom. the summary mentioned that they discussed the possibility of a "two-state solution". ayalon objected to this, insisting that it should be rewritten as "two states: one jewish, one palestinian". fayyad refused, and now ayalon is playing the poor-little-me card that lieberman is oh so fond of.
