I mean democracy as a political system designed with the aim to bring about power that always has the common good of all in it's mind. A president of a parliamentary democracy with a coalition system and a PM and his/her Cabinet has a symbolic yet important role and mission: to rise above all parties as the Eminence Grise who embodies the national identity, that what binds all (opposite to partisan divisions). To stand for, watch over and defend the dignity and integrity of that national identity, the collective experiences, awareness, dreams and goals that is it's texture. By word and act if needed, at home and abroad. It's a good day for Israeli justice and hopefully also for Israel, for those MK's that voted him in are now for everyone to see guilty for a president-rapist who raped a woman and by doing so raped Israel, because they thought of their own interest and not of that of Israel. In Arabia they call that clan-culture and clan-politics. It weakens countries from the inside out. Spit on them!
