Think all you want about Barghouti, but notice a few things: 1. Some Israeli cabinet ministers support his release because he is a moderate who will do good FOR Israel. 2. Barghouti was convicted for 5 murders. This does not make him an "arch-murderer". Indeed, Netanyahu is willing to release people WITH blood on their hands. 3. POW's can be exchanged and there is no moral prohibition there. My objection to Netanyahu: He lies about his motives. His motives are that he does not want to release "big politicians". This is his right, but the public should be allowed to express an opinion here and debate it. (You of course will follow the party line, but some might object.) Giving a false reason denies the public the ability to debate the point. Capisch?
