    You are among the 16% of Ashkenazim who REALLY have the ancient Jewish hqplotype. And, you are right! The You are among the only 16% of Ashkenazim who ARE descended from the ancient Jews. And, you are right! Human genome tracking found that the greatest concentration of J1s moved east, not north. 75% of Yemeni are J1s, 50% of Negev Bedouins, and 38% of Palestinians are also J1s. That puts the modern Ashkenazim in the unenviable position of being the modern Jews who are persecuting the descendants of the ancient Jews. My husband thinks that with MY bloodline and HIS religion, we make the perfect Jew! ;-)
