...but journalism is in a bad state in many countries. In Canada, with the exception of a (very) few newspapers and a few reporters and columnists, militarism is rarely questioned, every war is a "good" war and completely justified, and political columns are little more than a repeat of handouts from the Harper government's press office. Harper had the gall to redefine anti-Semitism for his own political purposes as "the 'new anti-Semitism,' which is defined as excessive and unjust criticism of the state of Israel." Who decides what is "just" or "unjust"? Why the Harper office, of course. The rest of us are of course too dumb to be able to think for ourselves. Thank you for your brave and enlightening columns, Mr. Levy.
