I the past, the Secularists of Zahal could avoid the problem of "the religious" in the Army, simply by choosing not ot induct them. Now . . . there they are. Benysishim, as they are known, have a reputation for using their Talmudic "heads" to look at military issues the same way, so an officer that imagines he can "round a corner" in some military task so he might get "promotion points", will be remindied what he cannot do, and, if the Benyish feels that the order counters Zahal rules, he will perfer to be court martialed rather that go against "Zahal Halachah"--to bad for the officer that "rounded the corners". By now the middle grade officers are populated with many Kipot Segrugot, so that not so soon there will be "Black Kipot" joining them. All of them, at some time will be knocking at the doors of the Alufim, and we all know what that means . . . . Some day, maybe there will be a Haredi Chief of Staff of Zahal.
