I couldn't care less about his "stream", as I couldn't care less for my own, within liberal Judaism. Conservative, trans-denominational, renewal, reconstructionist, neo-Chassidic, progressive. Spirit and soul care for something deeper and larger, and rabbi Carlibach's music is what came to my life as a teenage camper. All the rest of his bio is interesting, and it doesn't come accross at all as an "agent" for any stream at all, but -as Rabbi Michael Lerner puts it- for the "politics" of MEANING and YIDDISHKEIT. This sums up who he is (still) for me. Fortuna Benmayor, Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
