    ... their function, when working for an important country, is to tell the President or Prime Ministers things like "Erdogan hates Israel religiously", i.e. infinitely. That, of course, in the case of important Foreign Ministers, that are trusted, and NOT politicians like Lieberman or Bernard Kouchner. It is the job of the President to get proper diplomats in those positions, perhaps sharing the ideology of her/his boss, or no ideology at all, but certainly not socialist when the boss is capitalist, for heaven's sake! Not to speak that no extremist Foreign Minister is acceptable in ANY system! So, the problem is not the "new" system but the stupidity of the new Presidents and Foreign Ministers who, therefore, have no faith in their people and create parallel functions, which screws up the whole world as who is to work with whom... So, Livni was the right FM, and not what'shisname. She would have known which ambassadors to trust....
