I can't believe that this passes for journalism in a paper that likes to think it is elite. Let's put aside the writer's absurdly simplistic, black and white view of "Israel, bad. Egypt, good." Where in the piece does he actually back -- even in the slightest way -- his accusation that "someone is apparently itching to get to the Aswan Dam." Because Israel expressed its displeasure with Egypt's decision vis a vis the Hamas explosive experts, we are meant to believe that it is itching for war? Mexico and the US frequently disagree over border issues. There must be war on the horizon! Remember the Alamo! The writer must think his audience is stupid, naive, or just looking for any wild excuse to bash on Israel.
