Obama has the reigns and the generals are setting the stage of should it come to war. Israel has told Obama, If you fail to stop Iran through sanctions or war. That they will use non-conventional weapons if necessary to stop Iran. And with Israel's slogan "NEVER AGAIN" Obama knows they mean it. Iran has some time to turn back but at this point war is expected, even Obama said yesterday. "I can not promise Iran will walk though the door of diplomacy" diplomacy is now a tool to set the stage for the upper hand for when the conflict starts. The US will continue to control the escalation, right now they are getting ready all while bleeding Iran dry, both its population support for the current regime as well as financially the best case scenario is if the people in Iran rise up. It would save us a lot of money. The worst truthfully is not war... it is that Iran sneaks their way to a bomb successfully which is only second to Obama's publicly preferred solution followed by a diplomatic solution that would keep the Iranian regime in power. Because If they don't manage to sneak out now they will get there clandestinely after such a diplomatic solution. (Not removing The Iranian regime to date has been a big mistake, If the current regime stays in power in Iran the middle east will continue to consume resources that are needed elsewhere, Iran is the reason for the high cost of the Iraq war.) None the less I actually think a free Iranian people could transform the middle east for the better. They could help end Assad in Syria, they could help Iraq stability. They could help Pakistan with drugs and extremism. They could help Egypt's economy They could help end the Israel & Palestine issues. I have a lot of faith in the average Iranian to be a force for good in the world. BUT only once free from the current regime.
