But as you rightly point out, many Zionists wrap themselves in the blanket of Judaism as soon as their expansionist plans are attacked. That some then become confused as to whether the problem is Zionism and/or Judaism is hardly surprising. What puzzles me is that Israelis in general know this, and yet seem content that the confusion continues. What can we make of this? Is it the case that the majority of Israelis support Zionism or perhaps it’s a case of 'couldn't care less'; either way Jewish Israelis are doing themselves no favour in the long term by not making the difference between Judaism and Zionism perfectly clear, by standing against it.
