Here we are attempting to punish a country for suppressing it's citizens, when our government is guilty of the same crimes, just in a less physical manner. Boehner and Cantor just had to talk with oil corporations before they began supporting military action. We are beginning to face a REAL crisis in the form of climate change, and breaking up the international community by defying the UN is the wrong move. Also, this comes right before the g20 summit in Russia, where we should be focusing on cooperative negotiation and collaboration, not bickering amongst other nations who oppose military action.
