J Street remains aloof and removed from the reality of the conflict. The biggest suspicion is that Ben-Ami and his buddies are simply in it for the power trip, the cocktail parties, and playing the White House invitation game. Somebody pointed out a while ago that J Street's settlement policy says the settlements have "drained" Israel's economy, ruined the army and cause the death of our democracy. With a policy like that, one wonders what J Street's real agenda is. Ben-Ami's pontificating in Washington obviously has nothing to do with the reality we the Israeli people are living here. With our booming economy, he should either do his homework and get with reality, or leave us alone and stop meddling in a country he obviously does not understand.
