As long as Israel and the Israeli press and the IDF insist that they are not at war when they do occupation and siege, they discount that in war, the other side sometime fights back and is sometimes successful. Gilad Shalit is a casualty of enemy action. The enemy fought back against the siege and had a successful military operation. That happens sometimes in war. Hubris insists that there is an unskilled, animal enemy.
