First you knee him in the crotch, then you shove your foot in his face. Any delusion that the current government of Israel has any desire to negotiate honestly with Abbas cannot stand in the face of it's actions. Why cannot Olmert at least be honest? Why does he claim that he intends to negotiate while at the same time taking every action he can to destroy Abbas? Why cannot Israel simply say our goal is the eternal occupation and eventual expulsion or extermination of the Palestinians? Why all the coy protestations to the contrary? It is not a false dichotomy to argue that Israel has two choices, either make peace with the Palestinians, or eradicate them. Those are the only options left open after 40 years. To choose one or the other would be merciful for both Israel and the Palestinians. Either set them free Pharaoh Israel, or snuff them and get it over with. It really is time to become honest with yourselves. ANY solution is better - and more humane - than no solution.
