    I forget how the saying goes and who originally said it, but it goes something like this: The true strength of a democracy can be measured by how it treats its minorities. I agree with this statement. Israel's barely a democracy for Jews. It is definitely not one for non Jews. I have more respect for this Judge by not singing HaTikva than if he had chose to sing it. It is a song written by Jews for Jews. No one can deny the exclusive nature of it's lyrics or meaning. Israel is a multicultural, multiethinc, multireligion country but does not have an anthem that reflects those wonderful characteristics. And definitely does not have enough people on all the different sides that recognize those wonderful characteristics.
