You seem to believe that if CHP or another party was in power, the flotilla would not have sailed to Gaza, or even if they have tried they would have been stopped by the Turkish officials. On what legal basis woud the government do that? Presence of kitchenware and metal rods in the engine room on the ship? Or karate-kid passengers who know a few moves? The question should be "are Israeli civilians brave enough to visit Turkey at their discretion?" After all "security" is a state of mind. And, exploitation of fears and insecurities is a great marketing tool, irrespective of what's being marketed.
