Earlier, mortar shells were fired into Israeli territory in apparent spillover from Syria war.12:12 13.10.15 | 0 comments
Israel bombed the suspected Syrian site without informing the IAEA, neither before nor even after the raid, about its suspicion. Had the IAEA found out the site was nuclear, Syria would have been under IAEA watch, and perhaps even UN sanction. Obviously, failing to inform the IAEA was a major foolishness which requires some explanation. How will Olmert explain this error? 1. We didn't want to distract the IAEA from their focus on Iran. 2. Bush told me not to bother with UN bodies; he is not going to inform anybody when he attacks Iran. 3. We did inform the IAEA, but they are so incompetent that they lost the papers. 4. In 1981 Begin attack the Iraqi reactor which was under IAEA supervision, so we are actually making progress. 5. The Syrians were supposed not to even acknowledge the raid. It's their fault.
