I don't expect Haaretz to publish this, because any criticism of the IDF seems to sink without trace, strongly suggesting there is military censorship of the press, particularly when the IDF's backside is exposed. The IDF knows full will that an occupying army is prohibited from both land seizure and settling its countrymen on occupied land. Both are in clear breach of the 4th Geneva Convention. The Chief of Staff, the Maj-Gen in charge of the Occupied Administration and their many predecessors deserve to be and will surely eventually be arraigned before the International Criminal Court for war crimes, which breaches of GC4 constitute. It is no good just reporting what the settlers' leader says and wants, the IDF's Occupied Civil Administration is the decision-making authority here - what is their explanation and excuse for their illegal actions? One thing it won't be is that 'Gush Etzion is Jewish land' as the weird Jewish Ultras chant, which any idiot can see on a map is not the case, it is even on the wrong side of the Green Line. The army's culpability and collusion in the grand land-theft scam is staggering really, in any NATO country there would be a lot of courts martial being lined up.
