How Haraetz manages to turn a positive result on a low CPI rank into a piece of negative news is an art that only Haaretz has. The positive news here is that Israel has a low corruption rank from among 33 OECD nations. 22 out of 33 means that two thirds of OECD nations fare worse. Why is this not considered good news? And who cares that Bhutan and Haiti are now a bit less corrupt? or Gambia? How many other countries conduct investigations against government ministers and PMs who are sill serving?
