and yet say nothing about Israel refusal to solve the conflict. Resolution of the conflict entails an end to the settlements and an agreement to retreat to the borders of June 1967 with agreed upon equitable land swaps. This has never occurred and one can only agree that the US has done nothing except either back up Israel in every case or issue statements that have done nothing but impede progress in solving this core conflict. And this scenario will not change as long as AIPAC continues to exert such undue influence on the conflict and its resolution. Surely General Mattis knows that but dare not say it in public. That is the problem and the Arab street knows it and is loosing whatever trust it had in the US role in their region. They see the US for what it is: a rubber stamp for anything and everything that Israel does in the region.
