I have to say that even if I don't agree with the conclusions, this is a refreshingly frank and intellectually honest argument for the heredi approach. It acknowledges that halacha is not an objective "black box" but rather a subjective process as seen through the eyes of respected leaders in each community. That is fair enough. The conclusion should be that, while it would be unfair to expect egalitarian heredi minyans to appear, it would be equally unfair for the heredi community to demonize the more liberal orthodox ones.
