The article points to the ever increasing divide between the private internalisation of the holocaust and its burgeoning public manifestations. The latter, in part, in my opinion, an attempt to counteract Israel's slow fall from grace internationally over the past forty years. Such public manifestations become counterproductive. They beg the question: Did nobody else suffer? They will become as hollow as 'God Save the Queen'. And that will be another tragedy.
