Only once did Israel capitulate to hostage- takers: 1968 (El Al hijacking incident), never since. Read the memoirs of Golda and Yitzhak Rabin: Submission was always an absolute last resort. Israel has always believed in deterrence, why would they capitulate now? Especially given its recent concession of the entire Gaza territory, which has turned (even more, somehow) into a hotbed of terror. Israel is not crazy for acting this way, nor is Olmert. It's time for a real uprising/Intifada against the oppressors of Palestinian people: its own corrupt leadership. Until that happens, Palestinians must accept their victimhood, and will for remain in the crossfire.
