You are wrong -- had the United States not invaded the war would still have been over as Japan's navy was beginning to collapse entirely. This would have allowed the U.S to beginning a bombing of Japan comparably to the battle of Britain. Eventually, Japan would have capitulated as Allied forces from the European theater would have assisted as well. Even if Japan did not give up, with out a Navy they were as vicious as a toothless lion, and posed no danger to the world. There is no justification in using Nuclear Weapons and killing millions and millions of people indiscriminately through cancer and the initial blast. For me, the true and bone fide ground is and will always be in Japan !!!!
