"Jerusalem only beonged to Jordan(Arabs) by conquest in `48. It was the capital of a Jewish entity for thousands of years before the birth of Jesus. And there was always a Jewish majority even during the dispersion, That`s a fact." Jerusalem was only conquered according to Torah by David. This was not thousands of years before Jesus purported appearance but about one thousand years. Even then the Jebusites remained in Jerusalem and lived alongside the Hebrews. Immediately after the Romans crushed the 2nd Jewish revolt in 135AD Jews were expelled from Jerusalem. so it was the one place where Jews did not live. The Jewish center moved to Galilee. They returned only in 614AD with the Persian invaders. This was reversed shortly after around 629AD and only after the Arab conquest were Jews finally allowed back into Jerusalem.
