This is an apocalyptic vision of the future for the State of Israel if it enacts the evacuation. We know this is being considered because only a few weeks ago Israel Harel wrote "when we evacuate 100,000 settlers" and not 'if". Even most of the settlers' right wing political supporters privately admit thye game is up. There's still prevarication on the proper side of the green line because ordinary Israeli citizens -tax-paying, reserve duty serving - are still convinced that those depicted in Ben Simon's article are 'ours', good Israelis like them, behind the rhetoric and the kippa. They are not. There's no need to evacuate them. They have placed themselves well beyond the pale since the start. The lesson the government and the people must learn is that you can't 'hug a settler' and welcome him home. His world view is as it is reflected in this article. They are not ours. We can save ourselves a great deal of angst and money as soon as we understand that they aren't ours.
