In the arms trade the very best time to try and do business with a country is when they are in the middle of a war because they want these weapons to use now and so they will be buying in bulk. The Falklands was not a war that affected Israel in anyway so there was nothing wrong with selling to Argentina. Its not our job to take sides and say I will only sell to the country I am supporting. In the arms trade if a country has money to spend and they are no threat to you then you say lets do business. Begin did what he was elected to do and thats look after Israel's best interests and bringing money into the country through selling weapons to Argentina was good for Israel. I am British by birth and although it saddens me that British soldiers were probably killed by Israeli weapons but I can't condemn Begin for it because he was looking after Israel's interests.
