If Abbas makes peace with Hamas, there will be no further negotiations with Israel (as if Abbas is begging to resume them). In the past the argument used to be that it is futile to negotiate with a divided Palestine. And now there is also this new spin about the regime changes in the Arab World and its unpredictable results. No negotiations with the Arabs are viable because when their regimes change, so will their policies. The problem with Israel is that its government changes all the time like a revolving door, but its Palestinian policy remains the same.
