And he will fail. We are betting on a loser. Fatah is finished & good riddance. We made (along with the US) a monumental error at Oslo. We imported a gang of terrorists, thugs, corrupt & inept gangsters and expected them to become peacemakers, the height of delusional thinking. And, we continue on with the same failed ideas as if the last 20 years had not occured. Fatah is as much our enemy as Hamas in any case. Now that even delusional leftists can see Abbas as a failure, rather than understand that the whole premise behind Oslo has failed, they begin seeking another supposed "moderate" to annoint, even suggesting a convicted murderer & terrorist. The intellectual dishonesty is astounding. Some will go further & suggest starting the whole process over by suggesting talks with Hamas - I have no doubt that they will find arguments to change Hamas from a murderous Islamic fascist organization into a new kind of "moderate".
