The man is a Cohen and Cohenim are not supposed to go to cemeteries because if spirits which are supposed to exist there, thats just Jewish law no matter what you think of the idea its not a haredi idea. In this case the man knew he would be flying over at least one so he decided that wrapping himself in a bag would avoid him becoming impure as a result of flying over the cemetery. Its the opinion of 1 man who did this. He did not try and coerce others into the same thing, he was not disrupting the flight he just drew alot of attention to himself because of it. If he wants to do that and its not hurting others why should we condemn him for it? If he was not a haredi would we just laugh at him or would we be seeing it as a controversial issue or is it just the fact everybody loves to hate the haredi?
