What you say seems to be correct although Netanyahu is playing a dangerous game. He is not trusted by anyone and his gloating may come back to bite him hard. I hope that his people don't pay the price for the bad will he has engendered---though, it is ultimately their responsiblity to approve or disapprove of his leadership at the polls. He is smart and skillful so perhaps you are right that he can now use the political strength he has mustered domestically to pivot toward the middle in a manner that does more than continue to delay the inevitable peace agreement that Israel must negotiate.
