I can't speak for all American Jews, but I think there are a good many of us who were deeply offended at the extent to which Netanyahu and his acolytes attempted to strongarm our electoral process, not to mention shame American Jews into falling in line. Nice try, and shame on YOU!!! Along similar lines, I find it somewhat insulting when articles like these insinuate that we would turn our backs on Israel. What a guilt trip! Again, I can't speak for all Jews, but I think it is fair to guess that most of us still have Israel's back. Even in the face of such brazen attempts at manipulation. Bibi's Machiavellian behavior really crossed the line this time, and we won't soon forget it. Of course we know we can't blame all Israelis for his mishigas; just like you can't blame us all for everything Bush or Obama does. But how about Israelis showing some concern for their brothers and sisters in America for a change? A lot of us are really struggling over here with economic insecurity, lack of decent healthcare, and cuts to our already anemic safety net, among other concerns. And for most of US, the GOP (including Bibi's new BFF Romney) does not have OUR backs!
