I have never heared of Asaf before but after hearing his story, i must say it has disturbed me. He was doing his duties and protecting his country against "direct enemies" i am theoretically and practically assumed to belong to, regardless, i feel sorry for him. I dont believe in any sort of prejudice, only morals and humanity matters to me. Peace to him, his family and all nations.
