Comparing the secular Israeli government to Nazis is no more overblown rhetoric than the many Israeli expressions of comparison of the haredim to the Taliban. And the haredim comparing secular Israel to the Nazis is a form of free speech; not so the temple vandalism "Death to Haredim" and Ynet's publication of a Ranaan Shaked article calling for violence against haredim, all illegal incitement to violence. All Wiesel is showing is his own and secular Israel's grossly hypocritical double standard in judging (and persecuting) the haredim. Rather than observing the modus vivendi with the haredim, secular Israel went looking for a war, and got it. Secular Israel deserved what it gets, including comparison to Nazis.
