I liked Von Trotta's film very much when I saw it in NYC but raised the issue with Pam Katz at the screening that it is misleading to have the words of Gershon Shalom put in the mouth of Arendt's mentor Kurt Blumenthal in his dying bed. Katz said that this is a fiction film hence it is acceptable to combine characters. However, now my fear is manifested in this article, that actually puts the words of Gershon Shalom in print as being the truth. We really don't need to distort history that much.
