The trouble with that is that the Palestinian Territories just split into two physically separate and politically independent proto-statelets: Hamastan in the Gaza Strip and Fatahland in Areas A & B in the West Bank. Neither faction is capable of reestablishing its control over both regions by force. If elections are to be held, then they will have to be conducted in each region separately and the results will only apply to that region. Palestinian national unity is no more.
