I had read all of this before. I thought you meant comments published subsequent to the June 26 Juan Cole blog in which these excerpts were included. Please point out to me anywhere in this interview where he says the translation is "false" or where he denies that he said Israel should be wiped off the map. In fact in the portion included in your post #110 he amplifies on the meaning of what he meant by wiped off the map. The interviewer gave him two opportunities to deny he'd made the statement or to claim the translation was false. Never did Ahmadinejad do so. On the other hand, we have the official translation from Tehran's official broadcast network which states he said Israel should be wiped off the map.
