Hamas will not let Shalit go even if Israel meets all their demands. Meeting the current demands will lead to new demands. Very sad and wrong that they can get away with this and justify it by saying that Shalit deserves to be punished for what the Israeli government has done to all the Palestinians. Of course that sentiment takes the form of, "But Israel has dozens, hundreds, thousands of Palestinians in prison - what about them? There is no justification for Hamas not allowing the international community (not Israel) to confirm that Shalit is even alive.
