Shalit is a prize to trade for something in exchange. Hamas should just get it over with. He is not the super-lottery-jackpot to get every imprisoned Palestinian freed, he is a single soldier worth about the same in trade. Sorry to value him like a sack of potatoes, but Hamas is trying to make so much more of him, and it just shows them to be a bunch of unrealistic, opportunistic sadists. I suppose they say he collaborated in killing or imprisonment of Palestinians so they are entitled to hold him forever, but to me he looks like a pawn badly used and he and his family and friends deserve better. By all means, make some concessions to get him back, but Hamas is unreasonable and unrealistic to seek everything for one soldier. Take note, Hamas. Abbas and company may not look as strong to Palestinians, but Hamas looks a lot less humane and realistic. Without the world's backing, you will not find the going easy.
