The Hamas capture of Shalit has already been a great success. It has taken much time of the Israeli governmnet, the IDF, and has been a staple in the Israeli media for years. Shalit has crossed the desk of the UN, two American presidents, several heads of state in the EU, the Vatican, and various elder statesmen. For Hamas, the Shalit issue has been better than any attack they could possibly make upon Israel. This is true even if Shalit is not used to redeem the freedom of Palestinian prisoners. Hamas needs no trade. As for further attempts to capture an IDF man, I would guess that Hamas will use any good opportunity to do this. Why would they not?
