The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
The middle east is a truly puzzling place. Abu Mazen (a pacifist in comparison to Hamas and Arafat) has sought for years to NEGOTIATE an Israeli withdrawal from settlements. Israel ignored him and never withdrew from a single settlement in almost 40 years of occupation. Along come Hamas - blowing up Israeli buses, pizza restaurants and threatening to destroy Israel. Israel's response? Withdraw from settlements and give violent Hamas what Abu Mazen south to NEGOTIATE. I guess it proves what Hamas always says: that the only language that Israel understands is violence.
